The 2010 Self Employment Telesummit

I started this blog after I was laid off for the 4th time in six years. I figured this was enough of a message from the universe that the time had come to try something new and different, and start my own online business.

Become a Learning Machine!

I’ve had fun becoming a learning machine and slowly but surely turning my vision into reality. I’ve also spent many hours feeling overwhelmed and frustrated.

Many of the people I know who lost their jobs and income have been hard at work starting businesses. Most of those businesses have a significant online component – and that’s the challenge for many of us. It’s easy to become overwhelmed. If you’re doing start-up on a shoestring, chances are you’re doing everything online yourself.

GOOD NEWS! There’s a program beginning (online) this week that can help you – and me.  It’s the the 2010 Self Employment Telesummit. And it starts Thursday, September 16th.

Molly Gordon, the organizer, says: “You aren’t alone. Two or three years into self-employment, many people find themselves still struggling to reach the level of success they want.”  She and Mark Silver offered a free teleseminar recently, called “The just getting by self-employment blues and what to do about them.” If this resonates with you, you need to take a look at her line-up of topics and speakers.

You’ll get targeted, practical, step-by-step tips from the 11 people teaching in the Self-Employment Summit. Two of them, Mark Silver and Dave Navarro are superb online business coaches that I follow, and I love their work. Both have impeccable reputations and a growing following of clients and fans. Molly, Mark, Dave and the other eight presenters can help you get over that self-employment hump, and begin attracting clients and income. Highly Recommended!

Take a look.

What’s the number one challenge you face as a new or accidental entrepreneur?

Thank you for sharing information about the telesummit, Louise. It’s so important that gifted, heart-based professionals learn that they CAN earn really good livings doing what they love without needing a personality transplant.

It was wonderful to hear you and Mark Silver talking about how “self-employment” and home-based businesses are a big part of our history. I with all my heart believe that it’s the path to joy and income for individuals AND for the health of our economy overall. We need more people like you who are recognizing the need, and providing understanding, tools, practical strategies and support.
